Special Schemes

Go Graas Yojana

For centuries, it has been the Hindu tradition to take out the first roti for the cow. Go Graas Yojana has been started to resurrect this respectful tradition and to respect the religious faith of the cow devotees. According to this scheme, the Goshala vehicle goes from home to home and collects roti, flour and other food products from their home and collects them. All this material is then brought to the Goshala.

At present 55 rickshaws are employed in the Go Graas Yojana. Through them, around 3500 kilo of rotis and other food products are delivered daily for the cows.

For this scheme, a local Go Graas Committee is formed. This committee looks after the expenses of building the vehicle and for employing the labor used to drive them.

Cow Medicine Service Scheme

For bringing Cow service to every home, Shri Krishna Goshala has started the Go Chikitsa Seva Yojana. According to this scheme, the Go Bhakts are made monthly members for 500 rupees. The member can pay the amount every month or of many months at once. This money is used in the medicine and cure of the cows. There are arrangements of collecting the monthly membership fee from the homes or offices of the members.

Go Bank (penny) scheme-

This scheme has been started to fulfill the desire of the Go Bhakts (cow devotees) of contributing some money to the welfare of the cows every day. An attractive metal idol of Gomata has been given the form of a penny bank. The devotees can buy these penny banks from the Goshala and keep them at their homes or offices. They can put money into it at any time.
When the penny bank becomes full, the devotee can go and donate the money to the Goshala and obtain a receipt for it. He can also call the Goshala which then sends a worker who comes to the place of the devotee and opening the bank accepts the donation and provides a receipt. This method of donating for the welfare of Gomata helps considerably.
